![]() Forgotten, destroyed, isolated. Lifeless, with the ashes of burnt grass, a valley of no importance. Leaves that would move from the slightest gust of wind. The green grass that swayed gracefully. All of which were nothing but a mere memory now. If only the valley had survived, the memory would have continued to live on within. Shining brighter and brighter like a star. But it didn’t survive, everything was burnt to mere ashes. Or so it was thought until a single lily was seen. The only form of life left was a single bell shaped petal. A single white petal, not affected by the tragedy. There was hope, for the Lily of the Valley had bloomed. Sahana Sathiyaseelan, age 14, is from Florida. Sahana currently takes a creative writing class in her high school. In this class she has had the chance to write and explore various literary styles, including poetry. Comments are closed.
